The final polish from the L’OREAL L’OR ELECTRIC COLLECTION this one is called Mystic Blue. This is one of those polishes that some will call blue and others will call purple, the color is amazing, like a deep velvety purplish blue. It is a very richly pigmented metallic polish, you only need two coats for full opacity. I love this polish, it reminds me of the one I wore over 15 years ago as a teenager when I went to see The Red Hot Chilli Peppers for the first time!

A few days ago while leisurely strolling through Priceline I came across three gorgeous metallic nail colors from the L’Oreal L’Or Electric collection. Of course I instantly bought all three and the first one I had to try immediately was Majestic Green.
Majestic Green is a chartreuse, electric green with a strong yellow shimmer. It really glistens in the sun and the tone shifts depending on the angle. I used three coats, the formula was smooth, without much streaking, the brush was a bit too wide, I kept accidentally painting my finger. Love this color, I don’t own anything else like it.

Orly “Steel Your Heart” nail polish is part of the Cool Romance Color Collection. This polish is a dark gunmetal grey shade. Metallic with purple and green micro shimmer. It stands out as a bit of a sore thumb in the collection as all other colors are creme based dusty pastels. On it’s own it is a great color.
I only needed two coats for the images below, it is a bit streaky like some metallics but still looks fab.

Revlon Silver Dollar is one of those wow polishes. A silvery matallic polish that makes your nails look like they are made out of chrome. Very smooth formula and two coats was all I needed to get full opacity and you can get away with just one coat too. I really liked this, wearing this polish I felt like I had molten mercury on my nails, very cool.

Color Club – Emerald Depths is a metallic blue with a turquoise/teal shimmer, great smooth formula, used three coats and dried quite quickly. Although it is a very striking color and photographs very nicely, I don’t think it is my color, I took it off the very next day as something about the way it looked on my hand seemed off, perhaps it just clashed against my skin tone.
And then I went ahead and put a coat of Rimmel Matte Finish Matifying Topcoat on top of it all just to see the effect. It turns the color into more of a teal.

Orly’s Golden Halo is a metallic duochrome purple with golden shimmer. Gorgeous bottle color and I felt very excited to try this color out when I first saw it. Bottle color is more lavender with golden shimmers, but once on the nail it seems to have the opposite effect and gives off a lot more yellow with subtle lavender highlights.
Overall this is quite a nice polish, I am not in awe but I don’t mind it. I used three coats in the following swatches. The formula is nice and smooth and applied very nicely.
