Splendid is a superb tangerine cream based colour that is perfect for summer. I saw Splendid from Mecca Cosmetica on my friends nails and knew I had to try it as it looked so gorgeous on her. So I asked to go through her awesome stash (where I saw many things I liked, lol) and found this and borrowed it to try out for myself.
When I first tried this on, I was surprised at how glugy, thick and streaky the formula is. I didn’t expect it from these polishes as the standard price is about $22 (Aussie dollars) and they are marketed as quite high end.
Good opacity at two coats. Things even out a bit more but the overall result was quite bumpy. You can see this in some photos but not in others. The color is indeed splendid!
Splendid is the only polish from Mecca I have ever tried. The color is a winner but the formula a fail and really at their prices their formula really needs some fine tuning, not up to scratch. But who knows the experience may change with another color. I am willing to try out another of their polishes if it ever comes my way.
